SUAT is Scotland's longest established provider of professional archaeological services.  We have been providing a service to a wide range of clients since 1982. We have a particular interest in the origins, functions and development of Scottish urban centres and their hinterlands.  We are also a mainstream archaeological contractor and one of Scotland's most respected archaeological units. We are a multidisciplinary organisation with an emphasis on providing rapid and economic resolutions to all our clients' archaeological and heritage management needs.  These commonly range from pre-planning consultation to site excavation.
We are a limited liability company with charitable status.  As well as development-led contract work, we maintain a programme of outreach and research.
