Both David Bowler and Derek Hall gave lectures to various local groups (Perth Women’s Guild, Perth Baptist Ladies Group, the Abertay Historical Society and Friends of the Archives). Subjects were Greyfriars Cemetery, St John’s Kirk and the ever popular Medieval Perth. The Friends of the Archives (Perth) also enjoyed a guided tour of Greyfriars Cemetery, led by David Bowler. During Scottish Archaeology Month, Derek Hall led a guided tour of medieval Perth, while Catherine Smith took part in a ‘family fun day’ at Perth Museum and Art Gallery, in association with YAC. Derek also led a guided walk around St Magdalene’s Hill, under the auspices of the Steering Group.
