Liaison with the Council for Scottish Archaeology and Historic Scotland’s education department led to the donation by SUAT of several boxes of finds which were unallocated through the Treasure Trove process. Animal bones, mollusc shells, pantiles and so on, which had not been claimed by any museum are destined to become part of CSA’s educational resource packs for schools. It was decided that for health and safety reasons our large collection of unallocated metal-working debris was possibly not suitable for this purpose.....however it is still available should there be any takers.
