Historic Scotland found some funds late this financial year to allow for the start of the post-excavation work on the excavations at 75 High Street, Perth. This will largely focus on the stratigraphic and buildings report, but a start will also be made on the completion of the metalwork and ceramic reports. A joint paper written by Derek Hall, Mark Hall and Gordon Cook on the new set of C14 dates from sherds of Shellyware pottery from this excavation has now been submitted to Proceedings of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland and a presentation on this data will be given at next year’s international C14 conference in Oxford.
