Perth Young Archaeologists’ Club has an informal link with SUAT because Adrian is one of the branch leaders.

The Club enjoyed a variety of activities again this year, and gained several new members, partly thanks to efforts to promote membership in local schools and making use of new membership fliers produced by the Council for British Archaeology. Activities this year have so far included a guided walk by Adrian along Perth’s water-courses, grave memorial recording at Kinnoull Graveyard and surveying activities at Cottown Old Schoolhouse.

Members have also been able to take advantage of the increased range of local archaeological activities provided by Perthshire Archaeology Week, and other local events such as Perth Museum’s Fun Day in August. Sarah Winlow of Perth and Kinross Heritage Trust has joined the branch leaders this year, and her help will be very welcome. The branch leaders once again attended the very useful training days organised by the CBA and CSA.
